Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine, hair-like needles into specific points in the body to communicate with the Nervous System and Endocrine System. It is estimated that you can fit approximately 10 acupuncture needles inside of a hypodermic needle. Acupuncture is not painful, but instead stimulates various sensory nerves fibers that send signals to the brain which is important for the patient. Some sensations include a heavy sensation, an achy feeling, or warmth around the acupuncture needle. Acupuncture can be viewed as Neural Rehabilitation of your nervous system. Therefore, it may take a course of treatments to reach your desired treatment goals. During the medical evaluation, your medical provider will explain the entire treatment process to you making it easy to understand and eliminating any concerns that may arise during the acupuncture procedure.
